Our hospital's history of addiction treatment dates back to February 2002. The Pink Mansion Clinic for Drug, Alcohol, Cigarette, Gambling, and Food Addiction was first established in 2002 by Prof. Dr. Mehmet Çakıcı. Built with seven beds, the Pink Mansion was the first treatment and rehabilitation program in Cyprus. Bubrenorphine treatment, previously used for heroin treatment in the US, Europe, and Australia, was first implemented in the Middle East at the Pink Mansion. During this period, Cypriot citizens traveling abroad for addiction treatment began receiving treatment at the Pink Mansion. Between 2002 and 2024, the Pink Mansion's reputation rapidly spread, and numerous addicted patients from Turkey, the US, the Greek Cypriot Administration, and many other parts of the world, particularly the UK, sought treatment.
